The official Blue Jays site for the Zephyr Baseball League

4 of a KindHalladayLilly
The Blue Jays have four aces that will dominate any other teams hand.  Roy Halladay, A.J. Burnett, Kirk Saarloos, and Ted Lilly will be leading the Jays to victory this season.  These pitchers even over-run the strong rotation of the A's.  This year the Jays also won't have to worry about the pitching after the starters go out.  They have two young relievers in Brandon League, Ty Taubenheim, and Miguel Batista that are Cy Young material in the future and could get several innings on other teams.  These relievers will have a successful year coming induring low scoring games and will gain experience for years to come.  TaubenheimBatista

Sluggers Selected for JaysLopez

The Blue Jays have been very busy in this off-season. They ended the year with a great pitching rotation but no big bats. The whole Jay offense was full of prospects not ready for the majors. To bring some experience to the team they acquired sluggers  Jay Gibbens and Javy Lopez from the Orioles, and Lyle Overbay and Russell Branyan from the Brewers. All these players will be starters on the Jays this season and will hopefully lead Toronto to the post season. The Toronto fans are anticipating another ’93 season with this stacked lineup and amazing rotation. The Jays have had trouble contending recently because they are in a huge powerhouse division. So far this decade has been mostly owned by the Yankees and Red Sox and now the Orioles and Rays are improving. These off-season moves will help the Jays to keep up with this division and they might just sneak a division title this yea r.
